Hamstring Curl

James Carron

Turn slightly so the inside of the leg you will flex in the curling motion will be shown to the judges
The inside of the leg shows off more detail than the outside

Angle toes outward on weight bearing leg
This rotates the quad some and make the upper leg look larger due to displaying more quadriceps while still displaying the hamstrings

Bend weight-bearing leg at knee a little
This displays a more natural appearance and enhances curvature of the hamstring

Curl opposite leg and flex hamstring and glutes

Choose a positioning for the upper body so the whole physique will be displayed in an advantageous manner
Many competitors focus on flexing the hamstrings and do not pose with their upper bodies. Judges see the entire physique on stage, so the entire physique should be poised for all poses regardless of pose name. Competitors typically use a stance similar to the front lat spread for the upper body in this pose, but many variances are utilized to enhance the strength an individual may possess
